La Porrona is surrounded by around 2,000 olive trees of various varieties, including Moraiolo, Leccino, Frantoiano and Pendolino, and produces certified organic oil which is therefore free of any chemical additives.
The same philosophy is applied to oil production as to the estate’s wines, and quality is favoured over quantity. The olives are harvested when they are still green, before they are fully ripe, in order to retain all the flavours and aromas. After harvesting by hand, the olives are cold pressed to preserve the quality, flavours and authenticity of the oil.
La Porrona’s organic extra-virgin olive oil has a fruity aroma and complex taste, which reveals all the flavours of the olives. The 50 cl and 75 cl bottles are available in boxes of six.
